Romblon is an island in the Philippines which is located MIMAROPA region in Luzon. It is a cluster of twenty islands lying in the Sibuyan Sea that is practically at the center of the Philippine archipelago. Romblon is south of Marinduque, west of Masbate, east of Mindoro, and north of Panay Island. Romblon is also called “Marble Country” and expert says that Romblon marble is equal to Italian marble in quality.

The Spratly Islands are controversial islands of more than 100 reefs, islets and islands in the South China Sea between the Philippines and Vietnam, the group is claimed variously by Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The island occupies a total less than five square kilometers and spread over more than 400,000 square kilometers of sea. The South China Sea region is the world’s second busiest international sea lane. More than half of the world’s supertanker traffic passes through the region’s waters. In addition, the South China Sea region contains oil and gas resources strategically located near large energy-consuming countries.

Negros Island is located in the Visayas Area, Philippines. It is the fourth-largest island in the country, with a land area of 12,706 km² (4,905 square mi.). People on the island are called Negrenses. Negros is divided into two provinces: Negros oriental in the Central Visayas region and Negros Occidental, part of the Western Visayas region. This division of the island, which roughly follows the mountain range in the center of the island, corresponds to the two ethnoliguistic groups in this part of the country. The western part (Occidental) is where the Illongo or Hiligaynon peaking Negrenses are located, and the eastern portion (Oriental) is home to the Cebuano speaking population.

Panay is an island located in the Philippines particularly in the Visayas. The island is divided into four provinces namely Aklan, Antique, Capiz, and Iloilo, all in the Western Visayas Region. It is surrounded by the Sibuyan, Visayan, and Sulu seas; the Guimaras Strait to the southeast separates it from Negros. Panay is roughly triangular in shape. A rugged, almost unpopulated mountain range parallels its western coast. Between the range and a hilly eastern portion, a densely populated, intensely farmed (sugarcane, rice) plain extends for about 95 miles from the northern to the southern coasts. Palawan is an island province of the Philippines located in MIMAROPA region, an acronym stands for its provinces which are Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Western Visayas. It was subsequently moved by executive order from MIMAROPA to the more logical Western Visayas. Removing Palawan from MIMAROPA would have turned the region into MIMARO. Because of problems with implementation of the executive order, however, an administrative order was later issued holding implementation in abeyance. Presently, Palawan and the newly-declared highly urbanized city of Puerto Princesa still remain a part of this region.

Cebu also known as Zubu (or Sugbo), is one of the famous islands in the Philippines that lie to the east of Negros Island; to the west of Leyte and to the southeast of Bohol province. It is located between 9°25′N and 11°15′N latitude and between 123°13′E and 124°5′E longitude in the center of the archipelago. As of the 2007 census, there were 798,000 people living in Cebu City, with over 3.5 million in the entire province. Cebuano is their native dialect and also spoken in most parts of Central and Southern Philippine Islands, including Bohol, western Leyte, Negros Oriental, the northern and eastern coast of Mindanao, some parts of Bukidnon, Agusan, Surigao, Davao, Cotabato, and Zamboanga del Sur. While Filipino is commonly understood and spoken, the English language is widely used in business transactions and educations.
