Filipina Actress Carla Abellana
One of the prettiest faces in Philippine showbiz today which also possesses good character traits every man will look for. She is no other than Carla Angeline Reyes Abellana or known as Carla Abellana. She was born on June 12, 1986 at Manila, Philippines. Before becoming an actress, Carla started as a commercial model that has already appeared in some local TV commercials including Palmolive Shampoo, Pantene, Jollibee Ice Craze, and many more.
Carla came from a clan of artists that her mother is Rhea Reyes who is a daughter of veteran actress Delia Razon. Her father is also a popular Filipino actor named Rey “PJ” Abellana. Not only for her physical looks, had she also had brains that added to her resume. In fact, Carla is a BS Psychology graduate where she became a Summa Cum Laude on her batch at De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines.
It was around year 2009 when she first entered in showbiz world. During that time, Carla auditioned for one of the leading lady’s role on GMA’s primetime teleserye – Zorro. But instead of giving Carla the supporting role, the management of GMA Network has found a potential of her and decided to launch Carla as a new star by giving her a leading role in television soap. Then, Carla Abellana was chosen to star in the Philippine remake of the Mexican telenovela, Rosalinda which was originally starred by Mexican actress, Thalia.
Carla is a contract star of Regal Films who signed a 12-picture contact of the company. Her first movie was entitled Mamarazzi with co-star Eugene Domingo and a star in the upcoming Regal Film movie Shake, Rattle & Roll XII, which is an entry to 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival. Also, Carla is a regular co-host on GMA’s 7 noontime show Party Pilipinas every Sunday.
