Filipina Actress Rica Peralejo
Rica Peralejo also known as Regina Carla Bautista Peralejo was born on March 7, 1981. She is a Filipina actress, singer, and television host. Rica is also is a member of ABS-CBN’s circle of homegrown talents collectively known as Star Magic. She’s hailed as one of the sexiest and most daring young actress there is in tinsel town. And as such, Rica Peralejo’s stature in the industry has been a whirlwind of a ride and has yet to be followed. From being a child star to a mature sexy actress, success didn’t come easy for Rica.
Starting out as one of the many talented kids in the teen show Ang TV, tough competition faced Rica as she went ahead with now celebrity idols Jolina Magdangal, Claudine Barretto, Angelu de Leon and a lot. Although all was in a friendly gesture, rising from the clutter of her contemporaries and getting recognize for her talent and worth in this industry proved to be a challenging task.
In her teen years, she won several roles in teen television comedy shows “Gimik” and “T.G.I.S.”
These shows gave Rica her start in acting as a career. After her days in youth variety and sitcoms, Peralejo landed roles in movies and other television programs. She moved between many genres fluently, which earned her various “queen” titles such as “Bold Queen,” “Horror Queen,” and “Scream Queen.” Despite the labels the media tried to pin on her, she also continued acting in comedies and sitcoms, as well as variety shows and television dramas.
Between making movies, Peralejo also appeared in television programs such as the sitcom OK Fine Whatever and the weekly variety program ASAP. She was recently in the drama series Sa Piling Mo, which is currently available on video, and Pangarap na Bituin.
Ever the performer, Peralejo also found time for her singing career. In the late 1990s she released the album Ikaw Pa Rin at Ako which produced the hit single “Fallin”. She was also featured on the soundtrack of the movie Sa Huling Paghihintay, where she sang three songs: “Maghihintay Ako”, “Can We Just Stop and Talk a While” and “Bakit Mahal Kita”. Her current album is titled Bollywood Fever.
Today, Rica is definitely one of the hottest and versatile young celebrities there is in showbizlandia. Her star truly shines brightly and continues to until now. But the journey for Rica Peralejo has yet to unfold and her way towards success is still burning into the coming days.
