Let’s Enjoy Swimming in Pagsanjan Falls

The falls have grown into one of the famous tourist attractions in the Philippines. Pagsanjan falls is situated three miles outside of the town of Pagsanjan somewhere in the rugged highlands of Cavinti about 100 km SE of Manila located in the Laguna province near the town of Santa Cruz. Its site is a national territory under the supervision of the Parks and Wildlife Office of the Bureau of Forestry Development. The only passable route to it is the Bumbungan River of Pagsanjan. Before reaching Pagsanjan Falls, tourists or visitors have to ride these boats (bangka), manned by skilled Pagsanjeño boatmen (bankeros). Two young men are hired with the canoe which usually carries two passengers.

Iligan City is just a two and a half hours drive from Opol, Misamis Oriental. It is a city truly blessed and nurtured by Mother Nature. It is protected from typhoons by natural barriers; its terrain is hugged by a long stretch of shoreline along the Iligan Bay. Its mountains and lush forests hide numerous waterfalls in its embrace, earning for itself the title “City of Waterfalls”. The most famous, enchanting and the most awesome of these is the Maria Cristina Falls which is the source of hydro electric power for most of Mindanao’s requirements.

Everyone Must Enjoy Swimming in Kawasan Falls

Kawasan Falls is a very famous tourist destination which is located inside the mountains of Barangay Matutinao, Badian, Cebu. It is just 130 kilometers away from southwest of Cebu City with an approximately a three hours bus ride. When you get to the Badian town, you still have to walk in around 15 to 30 minutes or less along a very rocky and narrow path. Along the way, there are souvenir shops selling accessories such as beaded necklace, bracelets, and Kawasan print t-shirts are available for sale if you want to bring home souvenirs with you. You’ll have to cross three small bridges before reaching the falls.
