American Emo-rock Band “Paramore” Rocks Manila
Thousands of Filipino fans went to SM Mall of Asia on Tuesday night just to witness the first Philippine concert of today’s world famous American rock band “Paramore”.
The band was formed in 2004 and originally composing of five members such as lead vocalist and keyboardist Hayley Williams, leads guitarist Josh Farro, bassist Jeremy Davis, drummer Zac Farro, and rhythm guitarist Taylor York.

Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo is a 21 yr. old Filipina singer and actress which was born on July 25, 1988 in Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. She is a daughter of Delfin Geronimo (a retired PLDT employer) and Divina, who used to run a beauty parlor in their native town. Sarah is the third of four children with siblings Jonnah Rizzie, Sunshine Grace, and Ezekiel Gabriel.

Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco is a Filipina singer which was born on May 10, 1992 in her hometown of San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines. At the young age of four, she already started singing and developed her voice after Charice parents broke-up. Her mother Raquel left Charice’s father after a domestic disturbance. Raquel worked very hard in a factory just to support Charice and her little brother, Carl, but always found time to help Charice prepare for the more than eighty local singing contests she entered over the years, which began at age of seven.

Kamikazee is a Filipino rock band which composes of five members such as Jay Contreras (lead vocalist), Jomal Linao (guitar/back-up vocals), Led Zeppelin Tuyay (guitars), Jason “Puto” Astete (bassist), and Allan “Bords” Burdeos (drummer).
They have firstly met in college at the College of Fine Arts of the University of the Philippines Diliman. Kamikazee’s early gigs were mostly campus events in UP Diliman like the annual UP Fair. Before they were signed, they went by the name “Kamikazee Cornflakes” in 2000, which was eventually shortened to its current state as “Kamikazee” was easier to remember. Their early shows included renditions of the songs “Tsinelas”, a cover of Ariel Rivera’s “Sana Kahit Minsan”, and Britney Spears’ Lucky.

BisRock has invaded not only in Cebu but also recently known in most places of the Philippines. It has pushed the Cebu music scene into greater heights. The term “BisRock” comes from the Cebuano words Bisaya, referring the Visayan language, and rock, for rock music. It was originally was coined by Cebuano writer Januar E. Yap in 2002, and and was first applied to Missing Filemon’s first album. He has a collection of short stories published under the New Writers series of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. He also writes a column for Sun.Star Cebu and teaches literature courses at St. Theresa’s College and Cebu Normal University.

The band Point 11 is an emo-punk band playing traditional and newly composed material. Rhythmic and melodic, the band’s sound mixes both foreign and local influences. The band was formed last November 11, 2006 which consists of five members: Mike Quiachon (vocalist), Marcellano Alday (lead guitarist), Marc Anthony Nengasca (rhythm guitarist), Cancio Adlawan (bass guitarist), and Joemart Jorge (drummer). They all came from Talisay City, Cebu particularly in areas of Linao and Day-as. When Marsy was out of nowhere, Jayvan Adlawan took the place as the new lead guitarist of the band.
