During a conference call happened yesterday, Oscar De La Hoya talked about the need to win by knockout, claiming it would be a disaster if he didn’t. In light of those comments, Freddie Roach today had some things to say to his former student.
“Tell Oscar not to worry, the fight will end in a knockout,” Roach said through ace publicist Fred Sternburg yesterday from the Wild Card Boxing Club, the hotbed of Southern California fisticuffs.

Roach No to Blame about Oscar’s lost to Mayweather Bout
MANILA, Philippines – If Oscar de la Hoya loses on December 6, Freddie Roach will surely don’t feel bad about getting blamed for it.
The Hall of Fame trainer said in an international media-conference call on Monday that de la Hoya blamed him for losing to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2007.

Roach Predicts a KO at Round 9!

In an interview with GMANews.TV, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer was asked to predict what round the Pacquiao-Oscar de la Hoya bout would end. He had an abrupt reply, in the “ninth round”.

Manny Pacquiao again biffed his third sparring partner as he intensified his training on his showdown against an American superstar Oscar De La Hoya on Dec. 6 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
