Rock and Roll with Kamikazee Band
Kamikazee is a Filipino rock band which composes of five members such as Jay Contreras (lead vocalist), Jomal Linao (guitar/back-up vocals), Led Zeppelin Tuyay (guitars), Jason “Puto” Astete (bassist), and Allan “Bords” Burdeos (drummer).
They have firstly met in college at the College of Fine Arts of the University of the Philippines Diliman. Kamikazee’s early gigs were mostly campus events in UP Diliman like the annual UP Fair. Before they were signed, they went by the name “Kamikazee Cornflakes” in 2000, which was eventually shortened to its current state as “Kamikazee” was easier to remember. Their early shows included renditions of the songs “Tsinelas”, a cover of Ariel Rivera’s “Sana Kahit Minsan”, and Britney Spears’ Lucky.

Jamming with Parokya ni Edgar
Parokya ni Edgar is a Filipino Rock Band that was formed in 1993 by a group of Ateneo high school students. The band is very popular and most lauded for its original rock novelty songs and often satirical covers of famous songs. It has transcended musical genres, varying styles from one to another – alternative rock to pop rock, punk to rapcore, and so on without leaving behind its trademark style of providing comic relief to their listeners.
