Don’t get confuse when you hear the word “tinola”. The word itself has different meanings in most places in the Philippines. Some people in Luzon area says that Tinola refers to the clear chicken broth with papayas and chili leaves. But generally, major areas in Visayas and Mindanao refer Tinola as a clear fish broth. Most pinoys if not all really love to eat this very delicious and aromatic dish.

SiquijorSiquijor is the southernmost island in the Central Visayas Region and a province of the Philippines. Its capital is the same as municipality named Siquijor. The island can be found northwest of Cebu and Negros, northeast is Bohol and to the south, across the Bohol Sea is Mindanao.

Siquijor only takes hours away from Dumaguete when riding a boat. When you want faster and convenient travel, you can ride a fast craft (Supercat) that will take less time compare to boatride. Supercat leaves Larena to Dumaguete then Cebu at 6AM and reaches Cebu at 9:30AM. Then, leaves Cebu for Larena at 3:15PM but will pass by at Bohol and Dumaguete.

Garden Resort Biliran IslandBiliran Island is a province in Central Philippines which lies between Northern Leyte and Eastern Samar. It is surrounded on the north by the Samar Sea; on the east by Western Samar; on the west by Visayan Sea; and on the south by Carigara Bay. Biliran Island is a volcanic island with many of laid back resorts and beaches and has some beautiful good diving spots. As of May 2000 census, the island of Biliran has a population of 140,274.

Negros Island is located in the Visayas Area, Philippines. It is the fourth-largest island in the country, with a land area of 12,706 km² (4,905 square mi.). People on the island are called Negrenses. Negros is divided into two provinces: Negros oriental in the Central Visayas region and Negros Occidental, part of the Western Visayas region. This division of the island, which roughly follows the mountain range in the center of the island, corresponds to the two ethnoliguistic groups in this part of the country. The western part (Occidental) is where the Illongo or Hiligaynon peaking Negrenses are located, and the eastern portion (Oriental) is home to the Cebuano speaking population.
